FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is changing?

The North Oak Branch will permanently close at the end of business on Friday, October 16, 2026. We will provide transition reminders and practical information before the closure.

Why is Kansas City Credit Union closing this location?

The North Oak Branch closure is part of a broader, ongoing strategy led by our Board of Directors and leadership team to strengthen our physical branch network and make our services more accessible to more members. With the North Oak Branch lease ending, this is the appropriate time to evaluate whether the location continues to fit how and where members bank today.

As member needs and the communities we serve change, our strategy may include closing or relocating existing offices and considering new locations where they can better serve members and support responsible growth. Our goal is not simply to reduce branches; it is to position our people and resources where they create the greatest member value while maintaining convenient access through our remaining locations, the CO-OP Shared Branching and ATM Network, online and mobile banking, and personal assistance.

Do I need to open a new account?

No. Your Kansas City Credit Union membership and existing accounts remain in place. You do not need to change your account or routing number because of the branch closure.

Will my debit card, direct deposit or automatic payments change?

No. Your debit card, direct deposit, recurring payments and automatic loan payments will continue as currently established unless you choose to make a change.

Where can I make deposits or withdraw cash?

You can use the Main Branch, City Hall Branch, KCCU ATMs, or the CO-OP Shared Branching and ATM Network. CO-OP Shared Branch services may vary by location, so check the locator before visiting and bring a government-issued photo ID plus your KCCU account information.

Can I deposit a check without visiting a branch?

Yes. Eligible checks can be deposited through mobile check deposit in the KCCU app. Endorse the check as directed in the app, keep the original until the deposit is confirmed, and securely destroy it afterward.

How can I check balances, transfer money or pay bills?

Online and mobile banking let you view balances and transactions, transfer funds, review statements and use bill pay. Zelle® is also available through KCCU online and mobile banking for sending money to people you know and trust.

How can I make my Kansas City Credit Union loan payment?

For most consumer loans, you can transfer funds from a KCCU account through online or mobile banking, arrange automatic payments, use Make A Payment at kansascitycreditunion.com to pay from another financial institution, visit the Main Branch or City Hall Branch, or mail a check to 5110 Ararat Drive, Kansas City, MO 64129. Mortgage Loans and Commercial Loans have separate payment links on our website. Please do not mail cash.

Where can I receive in-person help?

Visit our Main Branch at 5110 Ararat Drive, Kansas City, MO 64129, or our City Hall Branch at 414 E. 12th Street, 1st Floor, Kansas City, MO 64106. Visit our Contact Us page or call us for current hours before making a special trip.
