Kansas City Credit Union is on the Board – the Monopoly Board, that is!
On October 26th, 2022, Monopoly — the world’s favorite family board game – launched their newest version, Monopoly: Kansas City Edition! This is the first official Monopoly game based in Missouri, and Kansas City Credit Union is proud to announce we’re on the game board!
Held outdoors on the grounds of the National World War I Museum and Memorial, the launch featured a larger-than-life Kansas City Monopoly board and invited guests included many of the businesses and organizations that have tiles on the board. Mayor Quinton Lucas said a few words and then introduced an honored special guest, “Rich Uncle Pennybags” – known to most as Mr. Monopoly!
Mayor Lucas and Mr. Monopoly rolled oversized dice to determine how many board spaces would be revealed after each roll – and KCCU’s square was revealed on the very first roll! (See image of the green KCCU “Vacation Savings” board space!)
You can officially own and be a part of Kansas City history when purchasing and playing this game! The Kansas City Edition of Monopoly game is available for purchase just in time for the holidays at several local merchants, including Made in KC, Brookside Toy and Hobby J. Rieger & Company, Carrie’s Hallmark Shop, The Learning Tree in Prairie Village, the National WWI Museum and Memorial, Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa, area CVS stores, online at Amazon.com – with many more stores still to come! And, who knows, there may be a chance to win one of the games from KCCU – watch this space for more Kansas City Edition Monopoly news!
