American Heart Association Heart & Stroke Walk!
American Heart Association Heart & Stroke Walk!
According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular disease occurs every 39 seconds and is the No. 1 killer of all Americans. Heart disease also kills more women than all forms of cancer combined. And, congenital cardiovascular defects are the most common cause of infant death from birth defects. There are more than a million people in over 300 cities that will be walking this year to save lives in a Heart & Stroke Walk — join Kansas City Credit Union in the Kansas City Heart & Stroke Walk this October! Whether you walk, make a donation, or both, you’ll be making a difference!
Anyone can join the Heart & Stroke Walk – you can create a team with friends and family, create a team for your business – or you can join an existing team. When you get involved in the Heart & Stroke Walk, you are helping fund scientific advances to prevent and treat heart disease and stroke. And, if you or someone you know has been effected by heart disease, this is a great opportunity to connect with other survivors and share stories that may help and inspire others.
This year’s Heart and Stroke Walk in Kansas City is Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at 8:00am at the Power and Light District. You can find out more about the walk by clicking here.
In addition, the American Heart Association and Kansas City Credit Union have created a Text-To-Give Campaign where anyone can text KCHEART to 51555 to make a donation. Or visit www.kcheartwalk.org/kccu to make a donation. Thank you for you support, and see you October 1st!
